With Triple H suspended after his brutal post-match attack on Gee at Neon Blue, there should be no outside distractions in this epic battle. Can Orton turn back yet another stiff challenge or will Gee reclaim the belt he once held so dear? In another bonus, the Gee's girlfriend Riley Mason has promised to strip, Live on Warfare if Gee wins the title!

Team Orton's hold on the IWF increased at Neon Blue as Barabus Lashley added the European Title to the group's impressive title haul, but AMW were lucky to escape Neon Blue with their titles after a spiried challenge by MNM. When Lashley and AMW challenged MNM to find themselves a partner they could never have expected MNM to choose the Samoan Submission Machine Samoa Joe and so the scene is set for an intriguing six man battle, which could have a huge impact on each man's career.

When 2006 Man Of Steel Winner Abyss met Xavier in his return match at Neon Blue no-one could have anticipated the carnage that transpired. The two men met in a brutal and bloody brawl which ended up in a No-Contest. IWF Commissioner Eric Bsichoff has allowed the violence factor to be whacked up as these two meet in a rematch, where pinfalls count anywhere in Greensboro, North Carolina. The ring couldn't contain these two at Neon Blue, can a whole state do that job at No Remorse?

CM Punk & Maria Vs Colt Cabana
Maria shocked the world at Neon Blue when she betrayed her boyfriend Colt Cabana to side with the evil UK Champion CM Punk. As if to crank up the embarassment factor for Cabana even further, Punk got IWF Commissioner Eric Bischoff to sanction this first ever two-on-one mixed handicap match. It has been clear that Cabana still holds a flame for his ex, but can he put aside those strong feelings to concentrate on this match, or will Punk once again use his mind-games to gain an advantage?

Eric Young & Bobby Roode Vs Brian Kendrick & Lance Hoyt
European Tag Champions Young & Roode have made it their business in recent weeks to humilate and demoralise the plucky Cruiserweight Eric Young, making him the butt of both their practical jokes and their brutal attacks. However the sizeable IWF newcomer Lance Hoyt came to the aid of Kendrick and challenged the Canadians to a match for the European Titles. The feeling is that this time, Young & Roode may have taken their joking too far and bit off more than they can chew.

FIVE-ON-ONE ELIMINATION

Matt Morgan Vs The Bang Gang
For the first time ever in the IWF we have a FIVE-on-one elimination match. The Bang Gang have been attempting to make Matt Morgan's life a living hell, but not even they could have imagined that Morgan would take them all on at once. Can Morgan overcome the odds, or will the Bang Gang's strength in numbers seize the day.

Jay Reso Vs Edge
Fresh off his momentous victory over Shawn Michaels at Neon Blue, Jay Reso cockiness led him to give some home truths to his long-time friend Edge. He accused Edge of "wasting" his career and being "yesterday's news". Edge, for his part, admitted that he'd lost his way but that he had a perfect way to bounce back...by beating Reso in the squared circle. These two childhood friends will show no mercy, indeed they will show No Remorse.

Shelton Benjamin Vs Rhino
Two young studs who have tasted championship glory over the past few years meet with their careers at a crossroads. Both men for a long time have had that dreaded phrase "potential" tagged onto them and Eric Bischoff has decided that it's about time they made good on that potential. There is everything at stake as both men put the very directions of their career on the line in this important match.

NEON BLUE Results

CM PUNK Vs COLT CABANA ( * * * ) - The show kicked off with this highly anticipated battle between Punk and Cabana, formerly members of the Second City Saints tag-team and the anticipation was only heightened by the prescence of Maria at ringside. She's the girlfriend of course of Cabana and has been the object of unwanted advances from Punk in recent weeks. She came to the ring with Cabana and took a first class ringside view of the action. And what action it was; the two former friends turned enemies really went at it with a vengeance and this was one of those matches which was in the balance all the way. In the end though it was Maria who tipped the balance, in a way that a few could have anticipated. As the violence escalated Maria was drawn into the action and ended up in the middle of the ring, with only a Steel Chair for protection. And she swung it...but instead of clonking CM Punk, she hit her boyfriend Cabana. At first she seemed distraught but slowly a smile crept across her face as Punk made the pinfall that won him the match. Punk and Maria then embraced in the middle of the ring before sharing a positively sloppy wet kiss as the boo's reigned out in the arena. Great match, great twist ending. All you could wish for from a PPV opener.

PAUL WARDLE Vs PETER TURNER ( * * ) - Why the bookers chose this to follow the heated opener we'll never know. Mind you, this could follow Austin Adulteress versus Hal Hacker and they'd struggle to get a reaction. This is nothing to do with Wardle mind you; he's got a couple of wins against Kanyon under his belt in recent months and when faced with a compatible opponent, he shows that he could well live up to the supersrat potential label put upon his young shoulders. Turner on the other hand returned to the IWF and was pushed as if he was some kind of superstar - which he's not and further more he never has been at any time he's ever worked for the IWF. Which meant that this battle of the heels, which was never about much more than "I hate you" totally bombed with the live audience. Which is a slight shame as it wasn't a bad little match. Still the sutble change in the booker's intentions was clear here. It was Wardle who was portrayed as the better wrestler and he got the pinfall over Turner when all was said and done.

THE BIG GEE Vs TRIPLE H ( No Holds Barred, * * * 1/2 ) - The crowd came back to life for this one and why not? Fought under NHB rules, this was anything but a technical classic but it showcased intense performances from both men which showed the doubters that these two are both still capable of scaling the heights when they want to. The crowd ooh'ed and aah'ed through an arena-wide brawl which went through the crowds, into the concession area's, went backstage and finally made it's way back into the arena. Now you might be thinking that this was a NHB match instead of a FCA match, and you'd be right, but let's not quibble. Both men bled, both men took pretty insane bumps and both men survived each other's finishing moves (no wonder Riley Mason stayed away from ringside!) before Gee finally finished off Trips with a Gee-Bomb through a table. Both men got a standing ovation for this one, but just as it looked as if the two would shake hands, HHH used his trusty Sledgehammer to KO the Gee and he left to a chorus of boo's.

AMW Vs MNM ( * * * 1/4 ) - The two best tag teams in the IWF finally met with the World Titles on the line...of course some would say that these two are the only two proper tag teams left on the IWF roster, but that's another arguement for another time. What mattered is that the two teams took this opportunity to fly the flag for the Tag Team division, and despite a couple of sloppy moments in the first few minutes, that's exactly what they did. Of course this was another match where it was difficult for the fans to know who to cheer, but by a process of elimination it seemed to be MNM who got the cheers (mainly because of Melina at ringside I suppose) and this did seem to invigorate them to some extent. It wasn't enough though as those dastardly Team Orton members Storm and Harris used every dirty trick in the book to prevail, finally finishing the match when Chris Harris pinned Joey Mercury. Still if for no other reason than that these are the only two teams left, this feud seems far from over.

XAVIER Vs ABYSS ( * * * 3/4 ) - He's been out of the IWF since MuscleMania, but tonight was the night that Xavier returned. And boy, what a welcome the Xav man got! He looked, shall we say, bigger than when we last saw but we'll attribute that to the Japanese diet he's been on. This was a wild and riotous encounter which had everyone in the crowd "oohing" and "aahing" with all the crazy and insane bumps and moves that were on display. In fact, even the referee gave up trying to control this one and he had no option but to call for a DDQ...not that that stopped the wrestlers. In the end however, after Xavier had hit Abyss with a chair assissted Xav-Attack, Abyss scurried off back to the locker room area in order to preserve himself to fight another day. Sure this was a bit ridiculous (you could hardly call it a "match" in the classic sense) but it was high-octane and exciting stuff all the same and no doubt whetted the appetite for more of the same.

JAY RESO Vs SHAWN MICHAELS ( * * * ) - The common consensus seems to suggest that Jay Reso's run as a top-line face bombed (which is a tad unfair), but it doesn't take a brain surgeon to realise that he's a better act as a heel. Some might also say that applies to HBK as well, but he's just too damn popular wich at least meant that for one occasion tonight we had a clear face/heel dicthomy to ponder. Which made for a heated atmosphere, even if the straight-on wrestling action of this one struggled to follow the all out brawl that proceeded it. Still if you wanted an old-style straight up wrestling match you will have enjoyed this. It looked as if Michaels would win the day, but Reso ducked Sweet Chin Music to hit the Unprettier to the get the 1-2-3 and a HUGE win.

KRISSY VAINE Vs JENNY TAYLOR ( 3/4 * ) - Refereed by the new IWF Women's Referee Shantelle Taylor...and that was about the only noteworthy thing to tell you about this match. Oh, and new signing Rebecca Knox had had the foresight to purchase a ring-side seat for the event so she could get an up close and personal look at this match. She won't have learned much, considering this went all of about 4 minutes. Which is a shame considering these two women are capable of a decent match at least. Anyway, Vaine won, Taylor lost. Saying any more about it would be giving it more than it deserves.

MATTHEW MERCY Vs MATT MORGAN ( * * 3/4 ) - The battle of the Double M's was highly anticipated but sadly it fell a bit flat. The reason? Well the reason is quite simple; this match wasn't treated as a battle of the equals (which it should have been) but rather was put across as Mercy teaching a young upstart a lesson. Which was pointless on so many levels, although it is not our place to question just why the match was set out like that. Suffice to say that sometimes wrestling companies just get it plain wrong. What transpired was decent enough, but the fans were never really given any hope that Morgan could win, which I suppose in the end you could say was just as well as he was finished off with a Mercy-Bomb for the 1-2-3. Dissappointing.

CARLITO Vs BARABUS LASHLEY ( * * 1/2 ) - On a night when AMW & Randy Orton were defending their titles, Barabus Lashley had this chance to take the European Title for Team Orton. And I hope you were intrigued by that chance, because that's the only semblance of storyline you were getting in the lead up to this. Again, this was another match where it was unclear who the fans were supposed to be cheering. I mean we all know Team Orton are definately heels, but we're unsure as to when Carlito turned babyface. In fact, we're pretty sure he hasn't. Still this was a decent enough match, albeit one that perhaps lacked the spark both men would have been looking to deliver. It was a tight back and forth match-up which in the end was taken by Lashley when he finished off Carlito with the Be-L for the pinfall victory and the European Title. For the moment, Team Orton had three sets of Gold in the bank, but would that state of affairs see out the evening....?

RANDY ORTON Vs KURT ANGLE ( * * 3/4 ) - As it happens, it could; but it took more than a little help from all of Team Orton to ensure that it did. If you believe the hype we've been salivating at the prospect of a one-on-one match between these two ever since MuscleMania and there was a sense of expectation prior to the bell. What transpired was a trifle dissappointing, but as we found out after the show there may have been a very good reason for that indeed. And that same reason may have been why this was an overbooked clusterf**k, especially in the final stages. Yes, AMW did a run-in...yes, Barabus did a run in...and No, no-one helped out poor Angle. Which meant that although the referee managed to clear Team Orton from ringside eventually, the numerous distractions were enough to put pay to Angle's hope's of lifting the title and Orton finished him off with the RKO. As the show went off the air, Team Orton celebrated with all their title gold!

So, Neon Blue has been and gone for another year, and it was a real mixed bag. It promised much as a card and in that context the show will probably be seen as a slight disappointment. Gee/HHH, Punk/Cabana and, most of all, Xavier/Abyss all delivered great entertainment, but too much of the rest was below what we might have expected. Indeed the most intriguing point was the news after the show that we've apparently seen the last of Kurt Angle in an IWF ring...at least for the time being. Seems as if the injuries have caught up with him at last.

Austin Aries

Today the International Wrestling Federation can announce that Austin Aries has inked a deal with the IWF. Aries is a six year veteran of the ring, and hails from Waukesha, Wisconsin. He was trained by Eddie Sharkey and Terry Fox.

"I knew this day would come" said Aries when we questioned him this morning. "I've been working my whole career to get to this point. Now I intend to prove I'm worthy of the spot."

New Diva Inks A Deal

Rebecca Knox becomes the first ever Irish IWF Diva having signed a two year deal with the company this morning.

"It's a thrill to make it to the International Wrestling Federation" said Rebecca when we quizzed her this morning. "The women's division is at an all time high in terms of quality and I only hope that I can add to that. My ultimate goal has to be winning the Women's title."

IWF Contract News

The IWF can today announce that four superstars whose contracts expire this month have been released from their contracts.

Matt Hardy, Sean O Haire, Charles Haas and Lisa Marie Veron have all not agreed new contracts with the company and thus have been granted an early release from the final few weeks of their deals.

We wish them all the best in their future endeavours.

LANCE HOYT INKS A DEAL

Independant wrestling superstar Lance Hoyt has inked a deal with the International Wrestling Federation this morning.



Lance started his career in Texas but has wrestled all over the world. Standing 6' 9" and weighing in at 290lbs, this man is indeed a mean machine.

"The time came to step up a notch" said Lance. "The IWF is the big time and I feel like I had the grounding to make the move and show the world what I can do."

Deuce Shade Inks A Deal

Deuce Shade has signed a deal with the International Wrestling Federation.

Duece is a second generation wrestler, being the real-life son of former RWA superstar Jimmy "Superfly" Snuka, but has worked hard to gain recognition of his own efforts.

"I know I'll always be able to ask my dad for advice, but I know that to gain respect I have to stand on my own two feet. I'm thankful for the IWF to giving me the opportunity to do just that."

Riley Mason - WARFARE PICS

Last night The Big Gee introduced his new girlfriend to the International Wrestling Federation, as she attempted to "seduce" Triple H and lead him into a sneak attack from the Gee.

The plan worked and Gee then introduced her as Riley Mason. We have been informed by IWF officials that Riley has been granted a managers licence which means that she will be able to accompany The Big Gee to all IWF events.

Ever since Randy Orton took the IWF Unified World Heavyweight Title at MuscleMania, Kurt Angle has been on a mission to relieve him of the gold. He had his chance at Man Of Steel but Barabus Lashley tipped the odds in his bosses favour. Now, at Neon Blue, Angle gets the one-on-one shot he's so desired. Orton claims Angle is "old news", Angle says Orton's championship luck has run out...who will walk away as champion?

Two of the most imposing IWF superstars in history meet for the first time ever at Neon Blue. Hollywood superstardom hasn't sated Matthew Mercy's desire to be the best in wrestling, but he's never met a figure quite as imposing as the monsterous Matt Morgan. Has Mercy's cockiness led him to bite off more than he can chew or will Morgan be just another victim of Mercy's record breaking run, that has already seen off Dean Roberts and The Undertaker? This is a match you dare not miss.

Wounds from years ago that have never healed were reopened at Heat Wave and these two men have been on a collision course ever since. The two met in a controversial match at Man Of Steel which ended up in a DQ win for Triple H. As a result IWF Commissioner Eric Bischoff has decreed that the two will meet again at Neon Blue in a No Holds Barred match. Both meen seem keen to settle their differences once and for all but just who will end up with the ultimate bragging rights?

Jay Reso's ultimately unsuccessful pursuit of Randy Orton's World Title left what was once a smiling man in a swirling anger. Reso took that anger out on Shawn Michaels, a man in the wrong place at the wrong time. HBK has never backed down from a fight though and isn't about to start now. These two meet for the very first time on pay-per-view and these former allies have now become bitter enemies. This may well be a match where there are no winners, only survivors.

Abyss' repsonse to winning the 2006 Man Of Steel Tournament was to proclaim a desire to take on anyone in the world. Well "anyone" took up that challenge and Xavier, who hasn't been seen in an IWF ring since his defeat to Hulk Hogan at MuscleMania, will return to the IWF at Neon Blue to face the challenge of the monsterous Abyss.

For the first time ever, the two greatest tag-teams currently in the IWF meet face-to-face with the World Tag Team championship on the line. America's Most Wanted have dominated the world title scene since their arrival in the IWF late last year, whilst MNM have been the most dominant team in the European tag team division the IWF has ever seen. Finally the two teams meet in the middle of the ring in an attempt to find the greatest tag team of the modern day. Who will prevail? Only time will tell.

Krissy Vaine shocked the world by not only winning the Women's Title at Super Series, but retaining it against former Champion Alexis Laree at Man Of Steel. Jenny Taylor has been on quite a roll recently and has more than earned this title opportunity. She's as determined to win the title as Krissy is to hold onto it. This is sure to be a slobberknocker. As is the norm these days, this match will be refereed by Shantelle Taylor (no relation to Jenny).

On a night when fellow members of Team Orton defend their titles, Barabus Lashley gets the opportunity to challenge for the European Title held by Carlito. Carlito definately didn't think that the making of this match was "cool" but he's vowed to turn back the challenge of the mighty Barabus. Lashley, for his part, is supremely confident that his time for championship glory has come!

Former friends and tag team partners have been torn apart by jealousy...and a woman! United Kingdom champion CM Punk and his former Second City Saints partner Colt Cabana were forced to split after losing a match to MNM and whilst Punk has found Championship glory, Cabana has found love with the lovely Maria Kanellis. However Cabana accused Punk of trying to steal his girl and the result has been this battle for the UK Championship. Maria is confirmed as being at ringside, so who knows what hell may break loose?

Two men with World title aspirations meet in what may be the slow-burn classic of the show. Wardle is fresh off a pair of victories against Kanyon, whilst Turner can count a victory against Shawn Micheals in his successes since his return to action. There will be no quarter asked and no quarter given in this important battle for supremacy.

Man Of Steel REPORT

European Tag Title 4-Way (* * *)
To kick off Man Of Steel we got this exciting and fast paced four team match for the European Tag Team Titles. The big suspense leading up to the bout was just who would Eric Young's partner be? It turned out to be Bobby Roode, a native of Ontario, Canada. He comes with a reasonable rep from the indie circuit and he made an impressive debut. This bout was fought under elimination rules, so the order of elimination was as follows;
I) Brian Kendrick & Rick Shaw (eliminated when Johnny Nitro pinned Kendrick)
II) MNM (eliminated when Bobby Roode pinned Joey Mercury)
III) Flavio Love & Loco Delagdo (eliminated when Bobby Roode pinned Delgado)
WINNERS - Eric Young & Bobby Roode.

So quite an impressive start for Roode and Eric Young added European Tag Team gold to his Cruiserweight Title!

Samoa Joe Vs Chris Harris (* *)
So onto the first semi-final of the 2006 Man Of Steel Tournament, and although it was a decent enough effort it never really caught fire due to a clash of styles that the two struggled to overcome. The two fought back and forth but eventually Joe finished off Harris with the Avalanche Island Driver to advance to the finals.

Abyss Vs Matt Morgan (* * *)
This was more like it, with only the relative brevity of the match hurting the star rating. Whilst this was little more than a big man brawl it was done with such verismilitude that you couldn't help but get involved. In the end it was a slight shock when the monster Abyss took the win after hitting Morgan with the Black Hole Slam to advance to the final.

Krissy Vaine Vs Alexis Laree (* 3/4)
Women's title action was next up and they had little chance of following that last match. Still whilst this was pretty basic stuff it did at least make sense and came across as a coherent bout, which isn't always the case in these things. It was a decent effort from both women and although it looked like Alexis would take the win and regain her title, Krissy hit "The Special Attraction" from out-of-nowhere to wrap up the pinfall that retained her title. It was also noteable for the first appearance of the IWF's new female referee Shantelle Taylor who, we suspect, may not stay a referee for long. Nudge nudge wink wink.

Chris Kanyon Vs Paul Wardle (* * 1/2)
A late addition to the card after Wardle bowed out at the Quarter-Final stages of the Man Of Steel tournament, the only point to this bout was that Wardle had beaten Kanyon in the group stages and this was Kanyon's big chance for revenge...Which probably tells you more about how Kanyon's career is going than it does about Wardle's. This was a decent effort, albeit one that never really convinced, but the two men put in good efforts and they did crank it up for the big finish. But Kanyon wasn't to get his revenge, oh no, as Wardle evaded a Kanyon Kutter attempt and then, for the second time in less than a month, finished Kanyon off with the Phenom-Plex for the 1-2-3.

The Big Gee Vs Triple H (* * *)
Well wasn't this the pleasant surprise? Indeed if it hadn't been for the anti-climatic (non) finish this would have rated even higher. The two have shown a certain chemistry in their verbal exchanges over the past few weeks and this made for a hot crowd and the wrestlers delivered great performances too. It was just a pity that there was a DQ finish, when Gee used a steel chair to whack Tripper. The crowd booed the cheap finish, as well they should, but they did seem to approve of Gee's agression. All things considered, this sets up well for the inevitable rematch.

Samoa Joe Vs Abyss (* * * 1/4)
So it was onto the Man Of Steel final and the two took notice of the prestige of the match to put on a good, brutal, display and held nothing back. The crowd got into the stiff exchanges as well and seemed firmly behind Joe in his quest to grab the Man Of Steel title (although it must be said that Abyss had a pocket of fans cheering him on as well) but in the end Joe fell just short. Abyss finished him off with the Black Hole Slam to get the pinfall victory and to be crowned the 2006 Man Of Steel!

Randy Orton Vs Barabus Lashley Vs Kurt Angle (* * 1/2)
So main event time, and judgement day for Team Orton in many ways. Although Lashley seemingly had nailed his colours firmly to the TO nest when he refused his "earned title shot" from Super Series, Eric Bischoff's decision to make this three way match meant that Lashley's loyalty was divided. Which didn't exactly make for a thrilling match as Lashley spent a large portion of it doing nothing and just watching. Still, as you might expect, he made his presence felt in the denouement. He teased an alliance with Angle, but to few people's surprise he eventually sided with his boss Orton and their brutal attack on Angle made our olympic hero easy prey for Orton's RKO, and once again Orton had regained his world title.

Man Of Steel was a reasonably entertaining night of action albeit one that never really got going. As a one-of night of action it just about did its job, but it's unlikley that it will be remembered with too much fondness in the future.

IWF Appoints A Female Referee

The International Wrestling Federation is proud to announce today that it has signed it's first ever full-time female referee. Shantelle Taylor will be responsible for refereeing all the Women's matches in the IWF.

IWF Commentator and Talent Relations Officer George Minister heralded the signing ealrlier today.
