World Triple Crown Champion Kurt Angle defeated Eddy Guerrero in an absolutely blinding non-title match; even though Eddy lost, the fans were so appreciative of his efforts they gave him a standing ovation. After the bout, Angle said he’d been negotiating since Warfare and had added a third member of his team for the NYC pay-per-view, European Champion Randy Orton…Zoltar’s abysmal team of Mathuras and Yzeabek defeated AJ Styles & Trent Acid, when Acid turned heel on his best buddy AJ. There was a four-on-one beat down on poor AJ after the bout which only ended when Raven made the save…Chris Kanyon approached Eddy Guerrero backstage and said that he’d been impressed with his display against Kurt Angle earlier in the evening and as such wanted to make him the third member of his team. Eddy said it would be an honour…Taylor Matheny destroyed Torrie Wilson in the second elimination bout to decide who would go forward to the four way Women’s Title match at the upcoming NYC Invasion PPV…Eddy Guerrero was shown walking about the backstage area, when he was blindsided by a mystery assailant and took one hell of a beating…In the main event of the evening, Matthew Mercy, Diamond Dallas Page & Phil “The Graduate” Jackson defeated Xavier, Matt Hardy Version 1 and Jay Reso when Jackson got a pinfall on Matt Hardy…Once the ring had cleared, Kurt Angle made his way out to the ring, alongside his Team Angle buddies Randy Orton and Rhino. Angle taunted Kanyon for only having two other people apart from himself, and they were all losers at that. Naturally Kanyon walked out onto the rampway and said he would announce his final members next week on Warfare, but Angle was un-impressed and said he was confident enough to introduce his fifth and final member tonight…and with that, “The Blueprint” Matt Morgan stormed out and blindsided Kanyon and dragged him into the ring. The five men then continued to beat the crap out of Kanyon until Shawn Michaels, and then Sean O’Haire attempted to make the save. They got battered too though and the show ended with Team Angle hands held high, celebrating their carnage…
