Before the credits, we saw Chris Kanyon and he was thanking an unseen man for all his help and then he asked him if he would be a part of Team Kanyon at the NYC ppv. The camera then panned back to show Sean O’Haire, who was more than willing to accept the offer. O’Haire then asked who the fifth and final man would be on Kanyon’s team, but all Kanyon would say is that it was a done deal, and all would be revealed before the night was through…Jay Reso pinned Phil “The Graduate” Jackson in what was a very entertaining match indeed… In the final elimination bout to decide who would go forward to the four way Women’s Title match at the upcoming NYC Invasion PPV Annalise Roberts pinned Nidia to advance. This was by far the best match of the three match series, although Lisa Marie Veron, at ringside doing colour commentary on this match, didn’t seem all that impressed at what she had seen…Then it was time for a Highlight Reel and Chris Jericho’s guest on this occasion was the World Cruiserweight Champion Brian Kendrick. Kendrick told the world he was THE best Cruiserweight in history and said that the fact that Kurt Angle had hand-picked him for the main event of the NYC ppv was proof enough. At this point Kendrick got a bit distracted by a fan in the front row. The hooded figure was wearing what looked like one of the replica Cruiserweight Title belts and he seemed to be dissing Brian. Kendrick called him into the ring and the fan complied with the request. He told the fan that spending a month’s giro on a replica belt didn’t make him worth Kendrick’s spit. The fan replied that this was real belt and that Kendrick was a paper champion. The fan said that Kendrick may be the Cruiserweight Champion but he never beat the last champion in a title match. Kendrick realised he was talking about Simon Starshot, and Kendrick said that Simon was a piece of crap who had left the IWF content to give up the title, rather than get beaten one-on-one in the ring. The fan said “You don’t like Starshot do you?” which sent Kendrick into a diatribe on how Starshot was yesterday’s news. He really went to town and started walking around the ring, turning his back on the fan. As the rant went on, the fan slowly took down his hood and the fans popped huge when they realised that this was no ordinary fan, this was SIMON STARSHOT . The look on Kendrick’s face when he turned around and realised who it was, was priceless, and Starshot proceeded to kick the crap out of him. He then stood over his opponents prone and limp body and said “see you in New York punk” which George Minister took as a sign that Starshot was the fifth and final member of Team Kanyon…Diamond Dallas Page pinned Matt Hardy Version 1 in a fair match…Annalise Roberts was backstage and she had just showered and was on her way home. She was just about to get into her car when she was approached by Chris Jericho. He was being all nice, but Annalise obviously wasn’t in the mood and asked him what he wanted. Jericho replied that he wanted her to deliver a message. We never found out what that message was though on this occasion as the cheeky directors cut to a commercial break and when we came back, Jericho could be seen waving Annalise off…Acid defeated Raven by pinfall in a pretty poor bout when Yzeabek & Mathuras interfered. As you might have subsequently expected AJ Styles ran out to even up the odds and all this resulted him in challenging Acid to a match at the NYC Invasion PPV. Zoltar said his man would be more than happy to accept the challenge…We were in the Commissioners office next and Xavier came in and said that he wanted a one-on-one match with Matthew Mercy at Madison Square Gardens; after some funny deliberation, Corino & Riprock agreed to the match…In the main event of the evening, Chris Kanyon went to a rapid no-contest with “The Blueprint” Matt Morgan when Kurt Angle and various members of Team Angle (with the exception of Brian Kendrick who was still selling his blows from earlier in the evening) and Team Kanyon all got involved. A big brawl was still going on as the show went off the air…
