Impact 12/05/06

Just 9 days away from Super Schiznit Sunday, and the action was as hot as ever on Impact.

The three men in the World Title ballot, Chris Kanyon, Kurt Angle and Dean Roberts met in the ring for a face-to-face and give the fans reasons why they should be chosen to face Randy Orton. The three men ended up fighting, before Randy Orton came out and dropped a bombshell. He had persuaded Eric Bishcoff to let him choose opponents for the three men next week on Warfare...and to make it just like SSS he wouldn't be telling him who those men were until the night of the show!

In the main event, the four men who had previously qualified for the Elimination Chamber match at SSS were pitted against each other and Triple H teamed up with Paul Wardle to take on, and defeat, Jay Reso & Phil Jackson. The end of a thrilling battle came when Triple H finished off Jackson with the pedigree.

The two final men for the Elimination Chamber match at SSS were decided as we saw the final qualifiers. Matt Morgan defeated Chris Benoit in a bruising encounter to seal his spot in the Chamber, whilst Shawn Michaels pinned Rob Van Dam to take the 6th and final spot in the big pay-per-view match.

In an exciting Women's tag match, Alexis Laree & Melina defeated Annalise Roberts & Carina, after interference from Lisa Marie Veron. The 3-on-2 beating continued until Christy Hemme made the save. Shortly afterwards the "Choose Your Fantasy" six woman tag match was signed for SSS by Eric Bischoff. In other matches, Lance Storm went to a no-contest with Kane after both Abyss and Charles Haas got involved, and Finlay defeated Rhino by pinfall.

Eric also announced the International Challenge for the Cruiserweight challenge for SSS and said that the three men in that ballot (Mexico's Super Crazy, Japan's Great Sasuke and Canada's Eric Young would meet in a three-way match next week on Warfare. We saw clips from the press conference that announced that Beauty and The Geek's Sam Wyness has signed a contract with the IWF and we heard the news that the returning Peter Turner would be taping a sit-down interview with George Minister that would be aired on next week's Impact.
