Warfare 21/06/06

In the final stretch to Heat Wave, everyone wanted to put their best foot forward and create a positive impression in the build up to the big show. What we got was one of the most unpredictable Warfare's in recent memory.

In the main event of the evening, Peter Turner defeated Simon Starshot in a bloody Steel Cage Match. Turner had issued the challenge to prove he could beat Starshot if Shawn Michaels kept his nose out of Turner's buisness, and so he did. Michaels however seemed more than pleased that Turner had had such a tough match just four days before Heat Wave.

World Champion Randy Orton ordered his new ally Barabus Lashley to once again take on Jay Reso in one-on-one action. Lashley was only too happy to oblige, but the night didn't go as planned as Reso hit the Unprettier on both Lashley and Orton on the way to a Disqualification victory.

Chris Benoit and William Regal went to a DDQ as first Finaly interfered and then Samoa Joe interfered.

Alexis Laree successfully defended her Women's title, pinning Krissy Vaine.

In a thrilling six-man encounter, Triple H, Matt Morgan & Eric Young defeated Chris Kanyon, Kurt Angle and Rick Shaw when Young pinned Shaw.

In other news, Dean Roberts did an in-ring interview in which he reiterated that he was serious about the stipulation at Heat Wave; if he couldn't beat Mercy, he would retire. Naturally Mercy himself came out and said he would reiterate his intention to adhere to the stipulation, but he knew full well he wasn'g going to lose.
